Jennifer’s updates
Jennifer completed her post-op appointment on Friday, September 25, and continues to feel great.
She now has another month to rest, heal, and enjoy her recovery at home before returning to work. Her family sends heartfelt thanks for the continued love, prayers, messages, and support surrounding Jennifer.
Jennifer also has a pending optometrist appointment before she can return to driving. In the meantime, calls and visits are welcomed!
Jennifer’s post-op appointment is this Friday, September 25. She continues to rest and recover at home, surrounded by good food and visits from family and friends.
Her days have also included walks and plenty of cozy couch snuggles from her two Shih Tzus. We are so grateful to see her feeling this good and enjoying these peaceful moments at home.
Jennifer was discharged from the hospital on Monday, September 14. She is feeling great, has no pain, and is so happy to be home.
Jennifer is well on her way to a speedy recovery! Her family is deeply grateful for this wonderful progress—and for every prayer, message, and act of love that has carried her through.

Jennifer is walking more today and eating well. Her doctor confirmed that last night’s post-op MRI results look good, and her drain plug came out today.
Her family is grateful for each encouraging step and is looking forward to Jennifer leaving the ICU and moving into a recovery room. Thank you for continuing to surround her with love and prayer.

Jenni will remain in the ICU for the next couple of days while her doctors carefully monitor swelling and brain pressure. Her family is so grateful for every prayer, message, and expression of love surrounding her.
Her surgery was completed successfully, and she was moved into the ICU to begin her recovery under the close care of her medical team.

Jennifer was diagnosed with leukemia at just three years old. Her initial ICU treatment began on November 22, 1982; on Thanksgiving Day, she was transferred from the ICU to a pediatric ward. After six phases of chemotherapy and radiation, Jennifer was two weeks away from completing treatment when she relapsed. Treatment began again, along with preparations for a bone marrow transplant. Hope arrived through her twin brother, Jason, who proved to be a perfect bone marrow match. Her transplant took place in September 1984.
Four decades later, Jennifer and her family celebrated the anniversary of the transplant that saved her life. The experience left painful memories, but it also helped shape her strength, her commitment to health, and her deep love for caring for children.
Now, after Jennifer’s successful brain surgery on September 10, the people who love her are gathering around her once again—with hope, prayer, encouragement, and support throughout her recovery.
